HISTORY AND BENEFIT
Sea vegetables classified as brown algae, including arame, hijiki, kombu and wakame, have been shown to cleanse the body of toxic pollutants. Specifically, scientific research has demonstrated that these plants, which are abundant in alginic acid, bind with any heavy metals in the intestines, render them indigestible, and cause them to be eliminated from the body.Seaweed feeds the shafts and the ducts of the scalp to help improve the health of the hair. It has been said that the thick, black, lustrous hair of the Japanese is partly due to their regular diet of brown sea vegetables such as arame. Research has shown that minerals are important to healthy hair growth, and arame has a high mineral content.
Preliminary research suggests that certain polysaccharides called fucoidans, typically found in brown seaweeds such as kombu and wakame, may exert anti-cancer activity: There are currently scientific studies on the way (2012/13) in Singapore and Hongkong to validate this claims.
Health in your kidney is important to guarantee elasticity in your skin, and flexibility and density in your bones. Black sesame is said to prevent graying of your hair. But this little seed is a powerful anti-stress and hung-over cure, breaking down alcohol. Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Egyptians recorded it as medicine as early as 1500 B.C. to control stress and relieve constipation.
Modern research shows Sesame contain phytate, which is one of the most powerful antioxidants and one of the most potent natural anti-cancer substances. It helps inhibit the growth of various cancer cells.
